...the new doctor who companion has been cast...

The BBC is reporting that Billie Piper is going to be the next Doctor Who companion. Obviously I think that's fantastic, but I'm guessing you may have another take on the topic. Any thoughts?

Well... I'm told she was quite good in that thing about gutter kids and smack on BBC2 a while back. It would serve a useful purpose too: years ago the BBC had to be ultra-careful that there was no suggestion of hanky-panky in the TARDIS. Casting Billie would solve the problem at a stroke - who'd go where Chris Evans has been...
On balance I think I'd rather see her shot, though.
