...andy seems to have bought all the DVDs I refuse to own...

...because I'm too ashamed to take them to the till or because I don't want to lose credibility (from my own POV, rather than anyone else's). In much the same way as one can smoke hash and still be US president provided one does not inhale (despite the well-known fact that THC dissolves into the bloodstream quite readily through the mucous membranes of the mouth), my self-respect remains more-or-less intact as long as I only borrow them. The result: I am watching series one of Gimme Gimme Gimme.

Something inside me has died.
